This was prob­a­bly one of the best yet for Toshokan! Our guest speaker, Ben, talked about his time liv­ing and work­ing in Japan– he had pic­tures of his time over there and even gave a mini-language les­son. Sandy talked about Japan­ese dra­mas on tele­vi­sion and pro­vided clips (the live action Sailor Moon was too funny!). I talked about animé con­ven­tions for first-timers and men­tioned some of the local con­ven­tions around here. For the audience’s view­ing plea­sure, we showed Rurouni Ken­shi (an oldie but goodie) and Tsub­asa: Princess in the BIrd­cage King­dom (Clamp, yeah!).
