HOW TO POST
The Lane Library really wants to hear what YOU think — so now you can tell us!! That’s right, just click on “Register” to sign up to be able to post your own reviews of your favorite books, movies, music, games, manga — whatever you want!!*If you have any questions or need some help, ask your Teen Librarian!
*All posts need to follow these rules:
The rules are simple: Just like when you’re in the library: if you want to participate you have to respect the place and respect the people in it.
Hate posts and personal attacks will not be tolerated on laneteenzone.org . Treat others on these message boards as you would expect them to treat you. Talking trash about another user or posting topics specifically to provoke a negative response from an individual, a group or an entire community is not acceptable in the library or on our web page. These posts will be deleted and may result in having the privilege of posting on the boards revoked.
Offensive language, images and profanity is unacceptable (editing a few letters with an asterisk or other symbols isn’t allowed, either). Profanity in posts will be edited out, and offenders may lose the privilege to post on laneteenzone.org.
This site can be a lot of fun – so if we all just keep things civilized and treat each other like we want to be treated we’ll have no problems.
The Lane Library reserves the right to remove any post at any time.

How do I register?
To register, click on “Register” (far right side, under “Meta”) and follow the instructions. You’ll have to pick a user name (which will be displayed by every post and comment you make) and a password. Once you’ve registered, you can click on “Login” (right under neath “Register”) everytime you visit laneteenzone.org to write posts and make comments.
How do I write a post?
After you’ve signed in, you’ll see a screen called the “Dashboard.” Click on “Write a Post” and you see a page that looks kind of like an email. Write the subject of your post in the subject line, and the body of your post in the “Page Content” box — just like writing an email message. Then you can go to the side bar on the right and click on the “Categories” menu. Here you can check as many catergories as you think best describe your post. Then click on “Save” and you’re done!
How do I add a comment?
If you’re logged in, just click on the post you want and write your comment in the box at the bottom of the screen. If you’re not logged in, just click on where it says “comments” under the post you want to comment on. Then scroll to the bottom where it says “leave a reply” and put in your name and your email address (nobody else will be able to see your email, so don’t worry!) in the spaces marked and then write your post!
